    Patch & update management

    Security updates: complete, planned, documented

Unpatched systems are one of the most common ways in for attackers. We keep Windows, Microsoft 365, servers and third-party software current — automated, in planned windows and with proof of which device is on which level.

    The starting point

    • Updates get clicked away

Nobody wants to reboot in the middle of work — so the update is postponed, often for weeks.

    • Third-party software is forgotten

Browsers, PDF readers, remote support tools: rarely updated and frequently attacked.

    • No overview

Without a report, nobody knows which devices lag behind — until an audit or an incident shows it.

    What you get

    Planned windows

Updates run outside your working hours. Reboots are announced rather than forced.

    Third-party software too

Not only Windows: browsers, office tools and remote support are maintained as well.

    Tested first

Critical updates go to a test group first. Only when that works does the rest follow.

    Provable status

Monthly report: which devices are current, which are not and why. Useful for audits and NIS2.

    Scope of service

    What we take care of

    Workplaces

    Windows and applications

Operating system and installed programs on laptops and workstations stay current.

    • Central rollout with no effort for your team
    • Reboots announced, with a deferral for ongoing work
    • Report on devices that were not reached
    Servers

    Servers and services

Servers are updated in agreed windows — with a backup before the change.

    • Restore point before every major update
    • Order based on application dependencies
    • Service checks after the reboot
    Cloud

    Microsoft 365 and settings

Things change constantly in the cloud too. We review settings and security policies regularly.

    • Review of sign-in and sharing settings
    • Recommendations when Microsoft changes defaults
    • Documentation of the changes made

    Where your data sits

Operated in the KÜS DATA GmbH data centre in Losheim am See, Germany. The operator is certified to ISO 27001 and DIN EN 50600 — those are the data centre's certifications, not ours. The systems running there are managed by our team. If your data has to stay in Luxembourg for legal reasons, tell us and we plan the storage location accordingly.

    How we work

    1. 1

      Inventory

We record all devices, servers and programs and see where the level is outdated.

    2. 2

      Agree the schedule

Together we set maintenance windows, the test group and exceptions for sensitive applications.

    3. 3

      Ongoing operations

Updates run automatically, exceptions are caught up and the report arrives monthly.
